‘Tire-killing’ potholes fixed after Jackson water line break

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Repairs have been completed on “tire-killing” potholes in Jackson.

Jackson City Councilman Ashby Foote, Ward 1, said he’s grateful that JXN Water fixed a water line break at the intersection of Old Canton Road and County Line Road.

“I’m really glad that we got this finished. It was done in a timely manner by JXN Water and their team. And they did it very professionally,” said Foote.

For more than two weeks, the break disrupted the flow of traffic. Officials said a water leak beneath the roadway helped create many of the potholes. They traced the source of the problem to a pipe about 10 feet below the surface of the road…
