Some Touro Infirmary patients were evacuated Wednesday morning after a vehicle fire inside the nearby Uptown parking garage sent smoke billowing out into the neighborhood, according to the hospital.
“The New Orleans Fire Department responded to a fire that occurred this morning inside the Delachaise parking garage directly across the street from Touro’s main hospital. The fire has been put out and no one in the hospital or a medical office building were affected,” the hospital said in a statement at around 9:45 a.m.
