EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Police are investigating a homicide in which assailants decapitated a man and left his head on the roof of a vehicle abandoned in a residential area of Juarez, Mexico.
Municipal police officers made the find before sunrise Wednesday in the El Mezquital neighborhood south of Juarez International Airport.
Smugglers shot at by rivals, flee to US for safety
The officers noticed an improperly parked dark-colored vehicle with no license plates, the engine running and doors swung open. They got closer and saw a body wrapped in a light-colored blanket in the back seat and a man’s head placed on the roof of the black Jeep, according to a police report obtained by Border Report.
The body and head were taken to the Chihuahua medical examiner’s office and Jeep Grand Cherokee towed to a government impound lot.
No arrests have been reported.
