(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — “Significant progress” has been made on the 24 Fire burning near Highway 115, according to a Fort Carson official who provided an update to FOX21 News on Thursday morning, March 26.
“As of 8 a.m., the 24 Fire Incident Command has made significant progress by increasing containment to 61%,” the Fort Carson official wrote. “This is the result of the firefighters’ efforts to strengthen control lines to maintain safe barriers.”
The last estimate of the fire’s size was sent on Wednesday morning, March 25, at about 7,385 acres. At 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, total acreage remained unchanged…
