Building fire on Delaware Street in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A fire broke out at a building on Delaware Street in Albany Wednesday night. According to Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory, one person was treated on scene, but decline hospital treatment.

Gregory said they were dispatched to 50 Delaware Street around 9:45 p.m. and arrived to the scene about 3 minutes later. Upon arrival, crews were met with a heavy fire in the back of the building, which extended into the second floor and attic of the building.

At that time, a second alarm was issued for additional manpower.

Gregory said the fire then extended to a vacant neighboring building but that was quickly knocked down by mutual aid…
