Ground near a south Bethlehem industrial park has been broken on what developers are calling the “world’s largest cigar store.”
According to a news release from construction firm J.G. Petrucci Co., the new retail facility will feature a retail, bar and 200-seat lounge “experience for discount cigar retailer Cigar Page,” which the release called the “second largest e-commerce retailer in the country.” There will also be an outdoor patio area, a 4,400 square foot humidor, a keg and cooler room, and a second-floor mezzanine level housing the headquarters of Cigar Page parent company Brandshopper LLC.
The store will be located at 1010 Harvard Ave., off Rt. 412, about a half mile north of the busy I-78 interchange for Bethlehem and Hellertown. Expected to open sometime early next year, the building will include a warehouse and offices and will be the first retail location for Cigar Page, which the release said is currently headquartered in Bath…
