INDIANAPOLIS (WKRC) – One of two men suspected of committing an assault earlier this month has died weeks after the victim reportedly shot him in the stomach.
According to WXIN, 45-year-old Jamar Thomas succumbed to his injuries at Eskenazi Hospital Tuesday while he was being treated for a gunshot wound.
Following the shooting, which occurred on Saturday, March 7, the reported victim told authorities that he had opened fire in self-defense after he was attacked in the middle of the street in Indianapolis.
