Son confesses to stabbing, killing his sleeping father in North Carolina, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has reportedly confessed to killing his father while he slept in their southwest Charlotte townhome.

Just before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, officers responded to a domestic violence call on Maple Shade Lane. This is in a townhome complex off Sardis Road North.

A woman called 911 to say her son had hit her husband, who was bleeding, according to court records. She later told detectives that she heard a commotion and found her son, Drazan Sinanovic, kneeling over his father downstairs. She then shoved her son off the victim, and Drazan Sinanovic went outside until police arrived.

Officers arrived to find 75-year-old Savo Sinanovic badly injured. He passed away before he could be taken to a hospital…
