Starting April 1, 2026, Benson’s electric rates will go up following approval by the Benson Board of Commissioners. The change comes after a cost-of-service study found the town’s electric fund was below recommended levels.
For most residential customers—about 66% who use 1,000 kWh or less per month—the monthly bill will rise by just over $16, from $149.90 to $165.92.
