48 INVESTIGATES: Jewelry still missing 6 months after couple says movers stole from them

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) – A Decatur bakery owner says two moving company employees stole $22,000 worth of jewelry and valuables during her family’s move in September.

Melissa Cook, who has owned Mel’s Sweet Treats in Decatur for over two decades, hired PackMasters to move her family closer to the bakery.

“I trusted 100%, and in hindsight I shouldn’t have,” Cook said…
