Jersey City Council passes resolution to explore eminent domain at Heights hospital

The Jersey City Council passed a resolution to explore using eminent domain on the Heights University Hospital land, which was shut down by operate Hudson Regional Health (HRH) on March 14th, as last night’s meeting.

During public comment, activist Gina Davison thanked Ward D Councilman Jake Ephros for his advocacy on fighting to keep HUH, formerly Christ Hospital, open.

“This is crazy for this city to have one hospital [the Jersey City Medical Center]. Unforgivable!” Asli Cooker declared.
