KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Windy and mild ahead of a strong cold front bringing us major changes for the weekend.
COLD FRONT ARRIVES TODAY: Highs will hit the mid 70s ahead of a batch of late afternoon/evening showers with an isolated storm not completely out of the question. The main timeline is 3-10 PM. If you’re going to any watch parties to cheer on the VOLS, pack the rain gear and a few extra layers as showers will still be with us up until tip off. By midnight, skies will quickly clear out as temperatures tumble. Lows will drop into the mid 30s, so be sure to protect any sensitive vegetation.
