Railgarten shooting suspect due back in court

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man accused of a shooting that injured several people outside a crowded Midtown restaurant, Railgarten, back in 2024, is due in court Friday morning.

Detawn Gunn, 32, is charged with five counts of criminal attempt second-degree murder, nine counts of aggravated assault, five counts of employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and two counts of vandalism $1000-$2500.

It all started on August 16, 2024 when Memphis Police say they responded to a shooting at Railgarten at 2166 Central Avenue, where they found four victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
