NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Some Nashvillians are over the loud hum that has become the soundtrack to their neighborhood, and they’re looking for ways to quiet it.
The noise comes from the Buzzi Unicern cement plant in Germantown, the neighbors told News 2. It’s operated along the banks of the Cumberland River for decades, but those who live nearby said the noise it’s producing has become increasingly irritating.

Metro Councilmember Sean Parker (District 5) told News 2 residents in multiple areas are complaining, including his East Nashville district, Germantown, Salemtown, Cleveland Park, Highland Heights, McFerrin Park, and others.
One resident in Cleveland Park has even gone to the lengths of creating a Google Doc to gather data from people who can hear the buzzing sound in order to build their case against the plant and put an end to the noise…
