PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a man who hit and seriously injured a woman with his car as she was walking in Providence earlier this week.
Edisson Trinidad Lopez, 46, turned himself in Tuesday and has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in personal injury. He’s also facing several traffic violations, including driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle that’s unregistered and uninsured.
Investigators believe Lopez hit the 53-year-old woman early Monday morning as he was driving to work. Police noted it was dark and rainy outside when Lopez hit the woman and kept going…
