4 people shot in Sacramento including young child, police say

(FOX40.COM) — Officers with the Sacramento Police Department are investigating a shooting that injured 4 people on Wednesday evening in Oak Park.

According to the Sacramento police, officers responded just after 6 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 3300 block of 9th Avenue. When they arrived, they found four victims, two men and one woman, and a 4-year-old child.

Sacramento police spokesperson Officer Anthony Gamble said that all victims did sustain gunshot wounds and have been transported to a local hospital, where they remain in stable conditions.

Officer Gamble told FOX40 that the traffic in the area could be impacted as authorities work to learn more about what occurred in the shooting by processing the scene and collecting evidence.
