LUBBOCK, Texas — Two New Mexico counties, Lea and Roosevelt, are asking to be Texan, according to State Rep. Carl Tepper and new interim charges for House committees.
The charges, released Thursday by Texas Speaker of the House Dustin Burrows, cover numerous topics and create three new committees on general aviation, health care affordability and governmental oversight.
