Probation revoked for Louisiana man accused 3 times of tricking women into changing his diapers

Three months after a Lafayette man was again arrested for allegedly tricking a woman into changing his diapers by pretending to be mentally and physically disabled, a judge in Jefferson Parish has revoked his probation.

District Court Judge Stephen Grefer on Wednesday ruled that Rutledge Deas IV’s new human trafficking arrest and other infractions violated his probation for his 2022 conviction on the same charge. Grefer sentenced Deas to nine years in prison, court records said.

Before the Lafayette case, Deas had twice before been charged with scamming hired babysitters and caregivers into changing his diapers. State Police investigators have said Deas did so to satisfy a sexual fetish…
