ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez will not spend any time behind bars for shooting a gun out of a moving car. In July 2025, police were responding to a car crash on I-40 when someone in a passing vehicle started shooting a gun out of the window. Police eventually caught up to the car when they recognized that it was Diego Sanchez who was in the passenger seat. Sanchez’s friend and the driver of the vehicle told officers he was giving Sanchez a ride, and Sanchez fired a gun out of the window.
“It was a foolish decision, I look back on it, and I own it, and I take responsibility for it, and now I won’t be able to have guns no more, and that’s the price I have to pay for my wrong decision,” said Sanchez…
