HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – A bull was safely captured Thursday after escaping from a livestock auction in the area of Mt. Clinton Pike and Eastern Mennonite University, according to the Harrisonburg Police Department.
The bull’s escape caused a large police presence to be active in the north end of Harrisonburg on Thursday afternoon as officers attempted to capture the bull. Police had advised the public to use caution and not approach the bull or try to capture the animal if they encountered it.
As of 1:45 p.m., HPD confirmed the bull was “successfully tranquilized by a veterinarian” and will be brought home once he was fully asleep…
