CMPD seeks video evidence in fatal shooting of woman at NE Charlotte apartment complex

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A homicide investigation is underway after a woman lost her life on Friday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD).

Just before 9:30 a.m. on March 27, CMPD officers responded to an apartment building in the 3100 block of High Glen Drive after a neighbor spotted evidence of a shooting. This is off West W.T. Harris Boulevard.

Officers found a woman dead inside her third-floor apartment. Officials believe she was likely shot the night before.

CMPD says a neighbor called 911 just after 11 p.m. on Thursday to report hearing gunshots in the area. However, it was not clear where exactly the shooting happened, and responding officers did not find anything suspicious at that time…
