GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — More than two weeks after a storm caused hail, torrential downpours and flash flooding in Grand Rapids, a local deli is finally reopening its doors.
Schnitz Deli opened Thursday for the first time since an overnight storm on March 10 left entire neighborhoods grappling with standing water. Cars were picked up by the water and moved, hail punched holes in roofs, and rounds of rain kept the water flowing.
