GROM OF THE WEEK: Willow Wilder Holman

Willow Wilder Holman is a third-grader at Harvest Outdoor Education in South Orange County, and she’s already stacking her wins in skateboarding. In January, Willow took first place at the CASL National Championship for Girls Street Skate in Jacksonville, Fla., held at Kona Skate Park, the oldest skatepark in the United States.

Willow has been skating since she was 5 years old and now trains almost daily at local skateparks. That level of dedication, resilience and determination has paid off, earning her the top spot on a national stage. Her achievement not only brings pride to her family and the San Clemente community, she also serves as inspiration for young girl athletes everywhere.

Back home, Willow sharpens her skills at The Sandlot in San Clemente, training under local coach Shane Sheckler. She’s currently working on board slides and chasing down a “clean tre flip,” progress that reflects her work ethic and fearless approach to skating…
