On Thursday, March 26th, several HG readers DM’d asking about road closures at the intersection of 11th and Hudson Streets. Hoboken Police spokeswoman Marci Rubin shared the following statement with HG: At approximately 10:30 a.m., Hoboken Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 1100 block of Hudson Street. Residents are asked to avoid the area while an investigation is underway. There is currently no threat to the public.
Hoboken Mayor Emily Jabbour shared a statement via social media at 12:10PM, confirming that an incident had occurred.
“Earlier today, Hoboken Public Safety responded to a serious incident in the uptown area. Thank you to our Fire Department, Police Department, and EMS for their swift, coordinated, and compassionate response. Our thoughts are with the individual involved and their loved ones. We know moments like this can be difficult, and we encourage anyone in need of support to reach out and look out for one another. This matter remains under active investigation.
