Lansing man dies after high-speed chase in stolen vehicle

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – A Lansing man died Thursday after a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle ended in a multi-car crash in Livingston County, authorities said.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy spotted a stolen Range Rover traveling east on I-96 near Mason Road around 11:50 a.m. The vehicle had been reported stolen March 21 in East Lansing.

The Range Rover exited the freeway onto D-19 before the deputy could initiate a traffic stop. When the deputy tried to stop the vehicle near Francis Road, the driver fled south at speeds up to 120 mph, according to the sheriff’s office…
