On March 5, 2026, detectives were alerted to hidden cameras found in women’s restrooms at Elk Grove Regional Park and Jan Rau Park. One camera was discovered by a Cosumnes Community Services District employee, and another by a community member. Police and park staff checked all park restrooms in Elk Grove and found no additional devices.
Investigators identified 37-year-old William Raasch of Sacramento as the suspect after reviewing park and traffic camera footage. He was arrested on March 26, 2026, and charged with multiple counts of illegal recording and eavesdropping. Detectives believe cameras may also have been placed at Kloss Park and Zimbelman Park.
