HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) — The Fort Stewart Forestry Branch is currently conducting a burnout operation of an existing wildfire in training area C-9 which may lead to visible smoke in Savannah and Richmond Hill.
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution when traveling through areas impacted by smoke.
The National Weather Service’s declaration of Saturday, March 28, being a high fire danger day will not impact the burnout operations. According to the Fort Stewart Facebook page, a standby crew will be available throughout the weekend to monitor the situation…
