Linn County residents can weigh in on the proposed fiscal year 2027 property tax levy at a public hearing on April 1, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW in Cedar Rapids.
The county’s proposed tax levy would decrease by one cent, to $6.05 per $1,000 of taxable value. Anyone may attend to share comments or objections. After this hearing, the Board of Supervisors will schedule another hearing on the full FY27 budget for April 22 at 10 a.m.…
