A man was critically wounded in an alleyway shooting near East Franklin Avenue on Wednesday night, according to Minneapolis police. Investigators say the victim ran to the intersection of East Franklin Avenue and South Second Avenue after he was shot, where officers found him with a potentially life-threatening wound. He was taken to a hospital for further treatment and remains under care.
According to KSTP, the 911 call about the shooting came in at about 8:19 p.m. Officers arrived to find the man at the corner, suffering from a gunshot wound after running from a nearby alley. KSTP reports he was taken to the hospital, and that no arrests had been made as detectives canvassed the area.

The latest bloodshed adds to a tense stretch along the Franklin Avenue corridor, which has seen multiple incidents in recent weeks.
