The Louisville City Council unanimously approved the city’s comprehensive plan Tuesday night, a milestone that will help shape the city’s future over the coming years.
The comprehensive plan is a guiding policy document that can inform city decisions on land use and development, open space, economic vitality, environmental sustainability, recovery and resilience, and transportation. The plan is a guiding document and does not by itself establish zoning, or the city’s rules for what types of properties can be built in different areas around town.
