The rising sun brings very special lighting to the evergreen right behind the rising sun. This is a phone camera picture, full frame (not zoomed in). This is my “pic of the day” because of the dramatic lighting on the small tree. The sun is coming up right behind the tree, setting it off with the special lighting. The sun backlighting acts like a natural frame for the sunlit tree. Additionally the branches of the tree also frame the evergreen, setting it off even more. The combination of these framing elements serve to make the tree really pop out. It is also about 1/3 of the way across the bottom, putting it in a “hot spot” in the photo. The opening and…..
