PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Cornell Road is closed near the Bird Alliance of Oregon after a landslide, officials said.
The Portland Bureau of Transportation said the landslide happened on Friday morning between the two tunnels east of the Bird Alliance.

By early Friday evening, officials said crews with Portland General Electric and Portland Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry had worked all day to clear downed power lines and trees from the road. However, large piles of debris remain.

“PBOT crews will be working overtime on Saturday and Sunday to clear landslide debris, expected to take 15 to 20 loads in 12-yard dump trucks,” said Dylan Rivera, a PBOT spokesperson. “Then, we’ll consult with structural and geotechnical engineers from PBOT and other bureaus to see what it will take to get the slide into a safe condition.”…
