The Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study’s (AMATS) latest crash analysis offers a closer look at where crashes are happening the most often in Summit County – and where they are the most severe.
Compiled using more than 46,500 crash records from the Ohio Department of Transportation, the 2022-2024 AMATS Crash Report highlights which intersections and roadway segments are areas where safety remains a concern, despite the overall crash numbers trending downward.
Fewer crashes and fatalities were reported in 2024 compared to recent years; however, the data shows that certain intersections continue to see a disproportionate number of incidents, many involving injuries.
Which intersections have the highest rates of crashes?
