Delaware County judge accused of assault agrees to protection order, waives hearing rights

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A Delaware County judge accused of sexually assaulting an assistant county prosecutor who practiced in his courtroom has agreed to a protection order and is waiving his right to a hearing on the request.

Judge James Schuck agreed in court paperwork not to contact the woman. Both are allowed to work in the Delaware County Courthouse, although Schuck is on a voluntary leave of absence to deal with his legal issues.

Court documents say Schuck does not admit to any wrongdoing. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating whether anything criminal took place…
