Officials with the City of Oak Ridge, members of the Industrial Development Board, Roane County leaders, and representatives from Orano gathered Friday to finalize a major land agreement tied to a new nuclear project.
During a ceremony held at the William J. Wilcox K-25 Interpretive Center, officials signed documents transferring city-owned property to Orano. The land is located not too far from the former K-25 site.
Orano plans to construct a multi-million-dollar facility at the site that will produce low-enriched uranium fuel. The project is expected to bring approximately 300 jobs once fully operational…
