Ionia County man facing charges for allegedly stealing, trying to sell car online

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — An Ionia County man is facing multiple charges for allegedly stealing a car and trying to sell it online.

Thursday, officers with the Battle Creek Police Department were contacted by the victim, of Eaton Rapids, Mich., who reported their car had been stolen from their garage the previous week and was listed for sale online.

Officers then organized a controlled meeting with the seller at a gas station near Raymond Road and Michigan Avenue, according to the Battle Creek Police Department.
