12-year-old charged with making threat to Dexter Middle School

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 12-year-old student was charged after allegedly making a threat to commit violence toward Dexter Middle School, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said.

Dexter Middle School officials say they received a phone call making a threat of violence from an unidentified caller around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office along with Tennessee Homeland Security identified the suspect as a student and issued a juvenile summons Thursday…
