NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia Peninsula Community College opened the Newport News Trades Center on March 25, marking the launch of a $9 million facility designed to train students for maritime and construction careers.
Located at 520 21st St., the 16,000-square-foot center aims to prepare more than 400 students annually for high-demand industries critical to the regional economy and national defense.
