York County fire crews battle trailer fire off Route 17

YORK COUNTY, Va. — The York County Fire Department responded to a residential trailer fire in the Grafton area Thursday morning.

Just before 8 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 6300 block of George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17). Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames and quickly deployed hose lines, conducting both interior and exterior attacks. The fire was brought under control around 8:20 a.m., preventing it from spreading to nearby properties.
