Road work to begin Monday on Broadway Street by zoo, Summit Street in north Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio — Multiple road closures and lane restrictions around Toledo are set to begin Monday, including ones that will shut down part of Summit Street in the North River neighborhood and the Broadway Street entrance to the Toledo Zoo.

According to a notice from the city, the Summit Street closure will be of the southbound lanes between New York Avenue and Galena Street. New York Avenue will also be closed at the Summit Street intersection.

This closure is for the first two phases of a water line and cycle track project and is scheduled to last for four months. A detour will be established that takes Manhattan Boulevard to I-280, gets off the interstate on Greenbelt Parkway and takes that road down to Cherry Street before returning to Summit Street downtown…
