ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. (KLFY)- St. Martin Parish is moving forward with a $14 million water consolidation project aimed at addressing long-standing infrastructure and water quality issues.
The initiative is expected to reduce frequent water discoloration and repeated boil water advisories for residents across the parish. The project consolidates the St. Martinville water system with St. Martin Parish Water District No. 4, focusing on improving service for the city of St. Martinville, the community of Catahoula, and the Industrial Park.
As part of the effort, workers are upgrading water towers, installing new water meters, and replacing fire hydrants in St. Martinville, and also improving water in the community of Catahoula.
