Charges upgraded for Nampa man accused of fatal road rage shooting

BOISE, Idaho β€” Charges have been upgraded for a man accused of shooting someone in Meridian after a road rage incident, according to online court records.

As previously reported, Jacob Streat, 23, is charged with felony second-degree murder in the death of a 27-year-old man who was shot in a Meridian parking lot in January. Streat is now facing first-degree murder. It is unclear what transpired for the judge to upgrade the charge.

Meridian Police said Streat shot and killed 27-year-old Israel Castrejon Trejo after an argument that began on I-84 on a Sunday afternoon.
