Woman sentenced for killing Seattle rideshare driver, driving his car to hair appointment

SEATTLE — A Seattle woman has been sentenced to prison for killing a rideshare driver in 2023 and driving his car around the city for several days, including to a hair appointment.

Neiana Allen-Bailey, 20, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the killing of 52-year-old Amare Geda, who was working as a rideshare driver at the time.

King County Superior Court Judge Haydee Vargas sentenced Allen-Bailey to 20 years in prison. The sentence was lower than prosecutors requested but higher than what the defense had sought…
