On March 24, Gwinnett County Police officers and community members rescued an 8-year-old child with autism who went missing near Steve Reynolds Boulevard. The child was found clinging to a branch in the water and was pulled to safety by Master Police Officer J. Serrano and a civilian. Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services evaluated the child for hypothermia and transported them to a local hospital. The child did not suffer serious injuries.
