BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two dozen chefs put their cooking skills to the test on Saturday for the 12th annual “Buffalo’s Best Kielbasa Contest” in Cheektowaga.
WIVB News 4’s Dave Greber was one of the judges at this year’s contest. Winners included Keith Bednarz, Michael Martinez, Andrew House and Steve Slazak.
“Buffalo’s Best Kielbasa Contest is a way to showcase family traditions, and amateur sausage makers bring their family recipes, bring their best traditional fresh and smoked and even non-traditional kielbasas to a panel of judges and get rewarded with a good time and also with some trophies and some prizes,” said Tod Kniazuk, the event organizer.
