Dollar General, 8181 Avonia Road, recently experienced repeated and unreported sewage backups and an extended power outage March 16, according to the Erie County Health Department’s March 20 inspection of the facility.
“The facility experienced a sewage backup on March 15, 2026,” the inspector noted on the form. “Wastewater seeped through the floor drains in the bathroom, hallway and break room, filling the hallway and spilling into the office and back room. The department was not notified of this imminent health hazard.
“Additionally, the facility experienced an extended power outage on March 16, 2026, and the department was also not notified of this event.”…
