Fort Wayne teen pleads guilty to role in close range shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A teenager tied to a 2025 shooting pleaded guilty Thursday to a lesser offense in exchange for an attempted murder charge to be dropped.

Maung Soe Noe, 18, pleaded guilty to a Level 3 felony count of aggravated battery in connection to a shooting this past October that sent the victim to the hospital with serious injuries.

A witness told the Fort Wayne Police Department she’d been hanging out in a basement with the victim and Noe, who wanted to take the victim’s gun. Noe, then 17 years old, allegedly ended up taking the gun from its owner and fired multiple rounds at him in close range before running out the door…
