FBI Activity in Hoboken Linked to Assassination Plot in New York City

A federal investigation into an alleged assassination plot tied to a New York City-based activist has brought attention to a location much closer to home: Hoboken. Last night, our DMs were flooded with photos and concerns about the presence FBI agents and Joint Terrorism Task Force activity in Hoboken.

According to reporting by The New York Times, authorities uncovered what they described as a serious and targeted plot involving Nerdeen Kiswani, a New York–based activist known for organizing protests and advocacy work. Kiswani is a Palestinian-American organizer and founder of the group Within Our Lifetime, which is active across New York City.

While the broader case centers on activity in New York, investigators identified Hoboken as a key geographic element in the alleged plan to target Kiswani, with the suspect being apprehended at Willow Terrace.

What Authorities Say

Federal officials allege that an individual had been planning a violent attack targeting Kiswani. The plot, which authorities say was disrupted before it could be carried out, involved surveillance and preparation that raised significant concern among investigators.

Law enforcement agencies treated the situation as credible and serious, ultimately intervening before any harm occurred. The case is now moving through the legal system.
