Due to very dry conditions, the Southwest Florida Water Management District will begin Phase III water restrictions in Polk County, including Bartow, from April 3 through July 1. Lawn watering is limited to one day per week with set hours: 12:01–4 a.m. or 8–11:59 p.m. (smaller than one acre may pick one window; larger must water before 4 a.m. and after 8 p.m.).
