MPD detains protesters after disturbance at downtown No Kings demonstration

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A peaceful demonstration in downtown Memphis took a turn when Memphis Police officers detained protesters.

Large crowds of demonstrators gathered in Robert R. Church Park on Beale Street for the city’s third No Kings protest on Saturday afternoon. Memphis’s protest was a part of a nationwide effort that included demonstrations in Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, and Minnesota.
